New Baby Chick

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!  This is the plate we took as our appetizer for Easter Sunday.  Deviled eggs that looked like baby chicks. Cute!!!! As they were eaten one by one...........

This is what was revealed.  Yep!! it's true.  The Smiths are crazy and are going for a fourth baby.  Yeah!

We are excited.  Justin gets a little too excited. He put this on our bathroom mirror when we found out. I was only like 7 weeks along when we had to tell our families.  I like to wait to tell people, I don't know why, it just seems weird. But Justin he loves to tell everybody, which is cute.  So he comes home from work and goes, " We need to tell our families cause I have told like 20 people at my work."  Well, 3 of our brothers and sisters work there.  So, we told the fam and all are excited for us. We are due around Thanksgiving.  This will be a new experience for me since all my pregnancies and babies have been the same time of year.

Pictures of my cute boys:
How could I not want more of these cute kids???

Breck had a rough night for some reason, which is pretty rare for him. I had to sleep with him on the chair.  I think he was scared.  Every time he fell asleep and I would go to lay him down he would cry.  So we slept in the chair together until I had to get up for the morning.  He remained asleep on the chair for a bit.
Then Jensen joined him.  He loves his little buddy.

April Fools!!!!!

So, I forgot to write about my April fools joke this year. For the last 10 years now I have pulled an April Fools joke on Justin, and not once has he tried one on me.  I'm just more fun! :) The first 5 years or so, I got him really good.  I mean, painted his fingernails red while he was sleeping, dog food in his breath mints, cream cheese in his deodorant, and guaze cooked into his pancakes.  I'm so funny!!! Hee hee hee.  Well he has started to get more observant so I need to get better.  Last years failed when I did the classic of Saran Wrap over the toilet seat.  Dont ask me how, it was perfectly clear and he was half asleep at 530 in the morning, but he noticed. Dang it!
This year  I had the set up perfectly.  I waited until later in the morning so he would be less suspecting and have time to check things out. It was a Sunday so he didnt have to go to work. I made him some breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen.  As I was done, I pulled the classic of taping down the sprayer on the sink so it would spray him.  Yes, I was so excited.  He was almost done eating and would go stick his plate in the sink and turn on the water and it would get him.  Breck had just finished eating too and my OCD kicked in so I started cleaning up his mess to keep the kitchen that I had just cleaned looking nice.  Went to the sink to put his bowl in and turned on the water and sprayed myself! I screamed!!! and then burst into laughter as did Justin.  Epic Failure!!! How did I forget,  I just freaking put the tape on like 5 minutes ago! And if I hadn't screamed then he probably wouldn't have noticed, and I could still try to pull it on him. Dang IT!!!! It was totally going to work and it backfired.  So funny!

Here are some cute Easter boys to look at.

Baseball Season is here!!!!

Baseball season is finally here!  Saratoga Springs doesn't have a baseball league so we were going to have to go somewhere else to play.  Since we were going to have to drive anyway, we decided to play in Riverton with our friends and close to family.  We put Jensen and Drew on the same team.  They are good enough and then we can cut down on scheduling.  They are playing machine pitch with the Red Sox.  Drew says the funniest things.  The other day we were getting ready to leave his friends house and he wanted to shoot in their hoop first and he said, " Can I shoot a dam slunk before we go?" Then this week on the way to his baseball game he was getting all pumped up and telling us how he will be playing the "sames".  I could not understand what he was talking about.  I thought he was trying to describe something to me.  Finally, Justin picked up on it.  His Red Sox team was playing the Twins, not the sames. :)
Jensen played a little 3rd base and Drew got to catch.  Drew seemed to really like that. He did really well to, actually catching some of the balls.  We were so rudely laughing at one little boy who didn't even react, they were just hitting him and it wouldn't even phase him.

Of course Breckers had to play too!!!!
The Cutest thing ever!  " Is it my turn?"

I love a good party!!

We Smith girls, Me, Julie, Jeni, Melissa and Jeanne, threw a baby boy shower for our sister-in-law Kalli.  They are having their first and we are all so excited.  Adding another Smith boy to the family....that's all we need! :) We decided to make the theme nautical since I had a hook up with decorations, my mother.  It turned out super cute!!!

We played this fun game in teams.  A word was spelled and the first team to spell the word with their bodies won.

The front porch.

We had them put the presents in a ship.

Everything was themed around ships.  We had knot rolls, fishy crackers, life preservers, swedish fish, cupcakes with sails, the cutest invitations, and the guest were invited to leave Kalli a little advice in a message in a bottle.  It turned out super cute, and it was way fun.

March Madness

So, I realize it has been a while since I have posted and that is because things have gotten crazy.  Riverton Softball has started everyday and I just haven't adjusted to the schedule still.  I go get the photo card and there is like 6 photos on there, nice!!  That doesn't mean that nothing is going on, it means that there is lots going on and I don't have one extra sec to take photos of it all. With three kids and practice everyday there is no time for much else, and yet there is so much else to be done.  Without my amazing mother it wouldn't even be possible.  So crazy we stay!
Justin has been home this week from everything, work, church...with terrible stomach pain. He was doubled over in pain and basically tears (don't tell him I said that). We almost took him to the ER on Wed. night but ended up chatting online with a doc.  We did take him to the insta care Thurs. morning and they thought he has the beginning stages of an ulcer.  He was put on a few prescriptions, one to reduce the acid in his stomach and one to coat the lining.  Poor guy!!! They told him it would take a while to heal so, we hope he gets feeling better soon.  But funny story..... Justin has been applying for some different positions/ jobs and so that has been the topic of mine and his conversations lately.  As I said, he has been home sick, laying around for the last 5 days and Drew says, "What's your new job? Laying in bed all day?" Hee Hee!! So funny!

Drew and his best buddy Jason took this "itty bitty ball" class from our local rec center.  I was worried at first because Drew is almost 5, big and strong, and definitely above his league in sports.  One of my girlfriends said, "oh ya, I lied on my son's age once and put him in when he was 2".  I thought Drew was going to kill somebody.
They had everything really well organized and he was on the "Incredibles" team.  They would do one sport each day and rotate through 6 drill stations. When it came time to move stations they would give a team cheer. Go Incredibles!!! He had a fun time. They also were teaching sportsmanship and Drew was listening closely.  That weekend we took my high school team to a tournament in St. George.  My team lost to a not-so-good team and we were kinda reaming them out after the game.  We lightened up a bit and called it up for a cheer and Drew asked if he could say something to the girls so we let him, " You wont get better if you don't listen to your coaches, you know!"  We all giggled.  He is so funny

Poor Drewby cut his head open this week.  He was climbing up to sit on a bench at Grammy Jeanne's and slipped off hitting his head on the brick fireplace.  He probably needed about 6-7 stitches but we just doctored him up at home.  Once we got the bleeding to stop, we shaved his head and cleaned it.  Then we just pinched it shut and pulled medical tape tightly over it to hold it closed.  Left it on for 5 days and boom, good as new.

Tax return time

We finished a room in our basement this last summer.  It is such a great space to have.  We have been waiting and wanting and waiting and wanting a big screen TV.  Finally, we decided that we could get one. It is a 55 inch LCD. YEAH!!! It is so exciting.

It has been an all involved matter.  We spent the day purchasing the equipment.  Then dad Nickle came and helped us get it hung on the wall. Then dad Smith and Joel came and helped us set up all the sound system and whatever so that it works.  Then Dish Network came over and got everything set up in HD.  WOW! what an adventure.  It has been exciting.  I love it!!   I told Justin, " It seems out of our league."  Slowly but surely we will get the room complete.  Next is a sectional couch and some decorations and we will have a great room.

Vegas Baby!!!!

A couple of weeks ago the fam went to Vegas to watch my Utes play and visit with some friends.  It was such a great weekend.  The Utes played well and it was so fun to see all my girls.  I miss them so much.  I got to catch up a bit on their lives and visit with their parents.  My girlfriend who was there with me said, " I can see why you like coaching, its like a big family."  That is exactly right.  I love those girls and my staff. I am, or I guess I should say was, completely involved in their lives.  Now I am not and it was good to do some catching up.  I am so proud of them.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of the fam.  We were all "Ute" out in our red.
Jeff and Melinda are such good friends.  We haven't actually seen them in years, although we have talked, but it was like we haven't skipped a beat. I love that!!! They are always so nice to let us stay in their house in Vegas.  They love it there and were trying to convince us to move there.  I miss them so much and would love to live close to them but I think it would be way too hard to move away from my family.  We have been friends since high school and love to talk about the "good ol days". Most of it consists of me and Melinda laughing at Jeff and Justin.  We had so much fun, I didn't want it to end...I never do!
They have two little boys and a little girl.  There is Drew and Zach cruising in the car, and little Gywneth.  We hung out, went to ball games, launched rockets at the park, played ball, looked on pintrist, visited over dinner, canceled to go orders and laughed and laughed and laughed.  It was so great.  Cant wait to visit again.
