Last weekend was the annual Wakefield Reunion, which we held at the Praeter's beautiful ranch in Wyoming. We had lots of fun as was expected. Although this year was different. Grandma and Grandpa Wakefield weren't there. SAD!!! Grandma, especially has not been doing well. We missed them so much and sadly felt as if we needed to get used to it.
The kids played at the lake the entire day and a half. Jensen woke up early to go fishing with uncle Chad. He was loving it.
Justin, Nate, Mark, Ben, and Chris all went on a motorcylce ride out to the giant windmills.
After dinner we had a mad game of womens volleyball. It was like an olypmic event. You see Nick in the background taking picures. All the husband were taking pictures and everybody else pulled up a chair and watched. It was fun. Then the guys played their match afterwards. What good times!

Happy 4th of July!
Dont be fooled by the title.....I dont have any exciting 4th of July pictures. How did that happen? I cant believe it. All this means is that in order to journal our July I have to do a lot of typing and any viewers dont get any pictures. BORING!!! Sorry about that. Just skip down to some pictures. :) The 4th is my favorite holiday and we played the entire week. We stuck with our tradition so far of going to the Riverton Parade on the evening of the 3rd and then over to our good friends, the Cozzens, for a BBQ and fireworks. Then on the morning of the 4th we got up super early and went to the hot air balloons in Provo. We attempted the Provo parade, which is a wakefield tradition, and when we showed up at the usual spot......not one familiar face. We tried to sit for a minute on the sidewalk, but we couldn't see well and everybody was tired and hungry so we left. Then we headed over to the Smith house for a BBQ, to the Riverton Park fireworks and then back for a camp out. It was super fun! I made Justin take the rest of the week off of work so we just kept on playing. It rained and rained on Thurs., which was a blessing for all the fires state wide, but not so fun for 7 peaks. We took the kids to see the movie Brave in the theaters and just hung out. Then on Friday we hit up 7 peaks, with Justin there to enjoy it with us. So Fun!!!!!
The kids also took swimming lessons this summer....
Now, I know what you are thinking. Swim lessons and he is in a life jacket? Well......I took pictures on the last day and apparently there were practice pool safety stuff. Drew did really great in his lessons. He really learned a lot and became confident putting his face in the water. His teacher suggested he move to the next level, next time. ( A little random side note for Drew cause I want to remember it: We were out to dinner with my family and when my brother got his food Drew said, "where's my food, bro?" oh, he is so funny!)
Jensen did well also. He has gotten really good at diving under the water to get rings. He is putting his face in the water and really just seems like a fish. However, his teacher suggested he stay in the same class next time because when they actually do the freestyle swim, Jensen keeps his face out of the water and doggie paddles. We will work on that. Although when I tell him after class to put his face in the water he tells me that his teacher said he doesn't have too. Hmmmm!!!!
July was a busy month and went quicker than ever. I worked the University of Utah Softball camp for one week. We traveled down to St. George twice for slow pitch softball tourneys, none of which I could play in. That has been hard being pregnant in the summer. I cant play as much. One weekend we took the kids and my whole family was there playing on a bunch of teams. Then one weekend we left the kids and drove and stayed with friends. So Fun!!! I know we are spoiled.
